We make founders the heroes of the story.

Tundra Angels aims to be the investor you wish you had on your cap table.

Fundraising is excruciatingly difficult. Investors shouldn't make it harder.

Building a technology product, getting to market, and acquiring customers is a unique challenge. Because technology changes quickly, it’s a much higher risk than other businesses.
Too many investors act as if they are an elite class and treat founders with arrogance.

You shouldn’t have to figure it all out yourself by making mistake after mistake. We believe fundraising is way harder than it needs to be when you don't have the right partners.

We designed an investor mindset that makes the founder the hero of the story. By bringing together a network of active operators, we provide the non-obvious tools needed to scale what matters.

Built on Collective Success

A Network of 50+ Active Operators
the difference

We treat Founders the way
we wanted to be treated

Because we've been in your shoes, every step or process is designed with the founder in mind. From clear deadlines for follow-ups, to a "no-ghosting rule," to designing the pitch meeting to make the founders the hero of the story and more, the entire process is how we wanted to be treated when we were in your founder shoes.

A Network of Active Operators

The not-so-secret ingredient of Tundra Angels is that nearly everyone in the group is an active operator of their own company. They take risks in their own business, and they channel that risk-taking into startup investing.

Industry agnostic, Pre-Seed to Series B

We invest in high growth startups in any industry in the state of Wisconsin. We make investments from $100,000 to over half a million dollars depending on investor interest.

The Investor Brand Founders Want on Their Cap Table

An investor once told us, "When Tundra Angels invests, it means something."Between our approach, our mindset, and our social and newsletter content engine, Tundra Angels is a name that investors respect and founders want to have on their cap table.

How we work with founders

01

Connect

Start a conversation with our manager, Matthew Kee. We don't have a screening committee, so there isn't any groupthink up front. Even if Tundra Angels is not the best fit for you, we will leave you with direct, tactical feedback that you can use.
02

Pitch

If we determine it's a fit, you'll be invited to pitch the entire Tundra Angels network at one of our quarterly in-person pitch meetings. We will do pitch coaching with you to ensure that you have the highest likelihood of being successful at the pitch.

03

Due Diligence

If there is enough interest at the pitch, then we enter our second phase of due diligence. This is when Tundra Angels members who are experts in your industry enter the conversation to bring value to the founders as well as help de-risk the investment decision for the network.

04

Investment

If due diligence looks clean, then we move the opportunity into commitment stage. Each member has the ability to invest or pass and we only make an investment if we garner more than $100,000 in interest. When we invest, we create an LLC so that is a single line on the startup's cap table.

Feedback From Our Founders

There's no mystery working with the Tundra Angels. And Matthew is about the best "wear it on your sleeve" VC I've met. Always willing to help, spit ball, and be a sounding board.

Beyond the capital, the network and experience within the group has already opened doors and created opportunities that would have taken us years to access on our own. What really stands out is how invested the members are in helping founders succeed. It truly feels like having a team behind you!
